We may attend the Calgary Farmers Market South location for the opening of their market with a seed sale and swap event. 10AM – 3 PM, Calgary Farmers’ Market South 510 77 Ave SE, Calgary AB T2H 1C3, Canada. They are planning this to be a fun event for everyone with workshops, vendor tables, meet and greet upcoming farmers market growers, farmers and makers of all kinds.
We will be at this market on Earth Day. Come out and explore.

May 3,2026, Steele Heights Community Center will be opening their community gardens and are having a market event the same day. This is what they have to say about this event…
“The goal of our event is to offer a meaningful opportunity for growers, garden enthusiasts (or aspiring ones), climate change and sustainability minded folk, people experiencing food insecurity and all curious and interested garden community members to connect with information and resources on these topics. This year the event will also focus on the opening of our community garden, offering the opportunity for people to participate in an informal work bee. We hope that the resource fair component will be something we can continue to build on in years to come, especially as opportunities like this in our area of the city are uncommon.”
